KC Tech Companion brings old-fashioned, patient, neighborhood service to modern technology. Stay safe and stay connected to the people you love and the things you enjoy.
We started KC Tech Companion because too many people feel talked down to, rushed, or embarrassed when they ask for tech help. Our visits are unhurried, judgment-free, and built around one goal: helping you feel confident using your devices and software.
Our founders have a combined 35 years in the tech industry, leading teams at Apple, Best Buy, and Tesla, before bringing that experience home to the Greater Kansas City area. We are passionate about making technology easier to use, understand and troubleshoot.

1-on-1 In-Home Service
Personal, unhurried help right at your kitchen table.
- $99 per hour, with a one-hour minimum
- After the first hour, time is conveniently billed in 15-minute increments
- As many issues as we can cover
- Serving Johnson County and the Greater Kansas City area. A small travel fee may apply outside our service area, contact us for details.

Group Workshops
Learn together with friends and neighbors in a small group setting.
- $150 for a 1-hour workshop
- $250 for a 2-hour workshop
- Designed for groups of up to 6 people
- Hands-on practice, bring your own device

Common Questions
How does in-person service work?
We come to you! We are happy to help you, wherever you are most comfortable. This can be at your kitchen table, your community common area, even your favorite coffee shop! We serve Johnson County and the Greater Kansas City area. A small travel fee may apply outside that area, and we'll tell you before we book.
Do you repair broken devices?
We do not currently offer hardware repair services. We do, however, assist with setup like connecting streaming devices to TVs or setting up printers
Can I book a visit for my mom or dad?
Absolutely! Fill in the booking form with your own contact details, and use the notes to tell us who the visit is for and what they'd like help with. We'll arrange a time that works for everyone.
